It was the first pay per view to feature Arabic commentary, and they were seated next to the English commentary team of Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. Just like all commentary tables before them, the Arabic commentary team got a taste of the action up close and personal.

There were a total of 10 matches on the card with seven championships being defended, Triple H and John Cena facing off for the first time in eight years, a Casket Match between The Undertaker and Rusev, and the first ever 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble Match.

As with every Royal Rumble Match, there are going to be some key numbers associated with the match itself. This article is going to take a look at six of those number that include an amazing blooper, a couple of record-breaking performances, and more.

Continue on to see that blooper that will be talked about for years to come…

1 - Number of times someone fell under the ring (and it wasn’t Hornswoggle)

Titus O’Neil entered the Greatest Royal Rumble match as entrant number 39, and though he lasted less than five minutes, he created a moment that is going to live on forever in the form of a gif and video replay.

Poor Titus tripped on his way to the ring and slid under the ring. WWE didn’t even try to hide the blooper as they replayed it FOUR times as the commentary team could barely hold it together.

Memes and gifs would pop up instantly, even one that suggested that the torch was passed from Shockmaster to Titus.

For those who don’t remember the great blooper of The Shockmaster, enjoy the video below…

4 - Number of NXT Superstars who entered the Greatest Royal Rumble

Four NXT Superstars were part of the 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble Match, and that included two WWE television in-ring debuts. The impressively large Babatunde and Dan Matha both made their television debuts; while The Undisputed Era’s Roderick Strong and Heavy Machinery’s Tucker Knight entered the match as well.

Of these four men, Knight had the best showing as he lasted over ten minutes and also had one elimination (Drew Gulak). Strong also had one elimination (Rhyno); while Babatunde and Matha were eliminated without tossing anyone over the top rope.

3 - The number of seconds that Mike Kanellis lasted in the Greatest Royal Rumble Match

Mike Kanellis joined one of the Royal Rumble lists that you do not want to be on at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Kanellis entered the Rumble at number six and his entrance was probably ten times longer than the amount of time he spent in the match.

As soon as Kanellis entered the match, newly minted WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry knocked him over the top rope. His official time in the match was three seconds; which ties him for the fourth shortest stint in Rumble history. Only Santino Marella, The Warlord, and Sheamus have been in the match for a lesser time.

76:16 - A new record for longevity in a single Royal Rumble match

One of the most famous and long-standing records in Royal Rumble history is the one for most time spent in a single Rumble match. Rey Mysterio set the record 12 years ago in 2006 when he outlasted 29 other WWE Superstars and spent a total of 62 minutes and 12 seconds en route to winning the match.

At the Greatest Royal Rumble, Daniel Bryan shattered that record with a total time of 76 minutes and 16 seconds spent overall. Bryan was the first entrant in the match, and he amazingly made it to the final three before his WWE Backlash opponent, Big Cass, threw him over the top rope.

What makes this achievement even more impressive is the fact that Bryan’s in-ring return after three years off happened just less than a month ago at WrestleMania 34.

13 - Another Royal Rumble record is broken with most eliminations

In his short WWE career, Braun Strowman has dominated the Royal Rumble Match. In 2016 and 2017, he led all WWE Superstars in most eliminations (he was in the WWE Universal Championship match in 2018). At the Greatest Royal Rumble, Strowman had the most eliminations, and in the process broke Roman Reigns’ record.

Strowman threw out an impressive 13 WWE Superstars en route to winning the first ever 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble Match. The record was previously held by Roman Reigns who threw out 12 WWE Superstars in 2014, then breaking a 13-year record that was held by Kane.

41 - The entrant number of the winner of the first Greatest Royal Rumble Match

With the first ever 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble Match, you could expect a lot of firsts. When Braun Strowman tossed out Big Cass for his record-breaking 13th elimination, he became the first person to win a Royal Rumble Match from the 41st entrant number.

Outside of the Greatest Royal Rumble Match, there has only been one other Royal Rumble with more than 30 WWE Superstars when a total of 40 entered the match in 2011. The 41st entrant will go down in history as the position of the first winner of the Greatest Royal Rumble Match; which could be an annual tradition with the success of this event.
