So, if you’re also facing the same problem, try the below solutions to quickly troubleshoot the issue.

1. Check the FIFA 22 Server Status

FIFA 22 is an online multiplayer game, and as such, its servers can go under maintenance or face different problems every now and then. The server outage can affect the whole game, whereas certain features are sometimes affected.

So, whenever FIFA 22’s Volta Mode is not working, make sure to check the FIFA 22 server status. To do this, follow the steps below.

Open a browser and visit the EA Help center. Click on the drop-down icon next to the Games menu at the top of the page. In the search bar, type FIFA 22 and press Enter. It’ll take you to the FIFA 22 main page. Check the Server Status Icon at the top right of the main page.

The green color next to the Server Status Icon indicates that there isn’t any issue with the game on any platform. The red or yellow color indicates that the servers are currently under maintenance or facing downtime.

You can even click on the Server Status Icon to check out which platform server is currently facing issues. Moreover, if the server is down, you can’t do much but wait for it to be resolved.

2. Download the Latest Game Patch Update

FIFA 22 regularly receives patch updates to eliminate bugs, introduce new features, and more. If you are unable to access the Volta Mode due to an in-app bug, downloading the latest patch update can be a good solution.

4. Verify the Integrity of the Game Files (PC Only)

FIFA 22 files can become corrupt or missing due to various reasons. And when this happens, you will face different issues, including the one at hand. The solution, in this situation, is to repair the corrupt files on Windows. You can do it using Steam’s built-in repair utility.

Here’s how:

Launch the Steam client and open the Library tab. Right-click on FIFA 22 and choose Properties from the context menu. Choose Local Files from the left pane. Click on Verify integrity of game files.

Steam will now look for and replace all the corrupt game files. Once it’s done, relaunch the client and check for the issue.

5. Try Reset All Squads Option

The Volta Mode can become unresponsive due to specific changes you have made in the mode. As a solution, you’ll have to bring back all the settings to their default values. You can do it by using the Reset All Squads option.

Launch FIFA 22 and choose the Customize option. Select Edit Teams and then click on Reset All Squads. Choose Yes to confirm your selection.

That’s it. Now, relaunch the game and check for the problem.
