However, it’s impossible to deny just how unique a few of the strategies behind them can get. To truly bring the most out of these Coromon, players have to know solid strategies and where to get them in the first place.

6 Deecie - (Evolves from Acie)

Both Acie and Deecie — and yes their names are thunderstruck with puns — are only available in select locations and are uncommon to appear as well. If players can get an Acie, it evolves into Deecie at level 35. Deecie may be worth getting for its Clear Skies Trait alone as it would allow players to dispel and control weather effects.

It also has many ways to have priority attacks as well that take advantage of its high Special Attack stat like Multi Bolt and Thunder Salvo. It may not have a wide variety of typings on its attacks but when it does hit, it can pack a serious whallop.

5 Houndtrion - (Evolves from Houndos)

This electrified dog reminiscent of the Cerberus is quite the good boy on the right team. Houndos evolves into Houndtrion at level 34. Using its Trait Menacing to reduce the attacking power of opposing Coromon, it can also hamper their ability to attack by using either Power Talons or Spark Disc, both of which deplete the enemy’s SP.

Houndtrion in general is a solid all-around kind of Coromon instead of having too intense of a single focus which can quite honestly be helpful in rounding out any squad.

4 Lumasect - (Evolves from Lampyre & Lumon)

Lumon evolves into Lampyre at level 16 and Lampyre evolves into Lumasect at level 30. Its trait Bright Light is quite useful in the game itself, lighting up caves, but it’s Lumsect’s speed which is truly something to marvel at. Since Conductor can make it even better, it can be tempting to train a Coromon too fast for opponents to keep up with. With an attack like Whoosh which powers up with speed differences, this can be the ultimate speed demon of a fighter.

3 Magnamire - (Evolves from Gauslime)

Gauslime evolves into Magnamire at level 38. Looking like an electrified Muk or Grimer, it has some traits reminiscent of the Pokemon as well, specifically the Trait Stinky. It gives a solid chance of making the opponent have the Hazy status effect. It’s possible that Sticky Layer can be useful as well, slowing down any opponents that try to hit it and can’t get through its decent defenses.

It has a decent selection of attacks to choose from with a few interesting twists that can allow it to poison opponents as well. With such high Attack stats, using it to fire off Transcendant and get a priority attack at a minimum is worth something.

2 Rynobuz - (Evolves from Bazzer & Buzzlet)

Buzzlet evolves into Bazzer at level 17 and Bazzer evolves into Rynobuz at level 36. While it may be tempting to use the Trait Good Aim to try and get some meaty critical hits in, but Rynobuz doesn’t have all that many physical attacks to draw from in the first place, let alone the stats to support it.

Instead, it’s the variety found in Rynobuz’s move pool that is most useful. It can dish out Electric, Cut, Ghost, Magic, Foul, and even Sand-type attacks. It can lead to having a massive variety of choices in battle — a Coromon always capable of landing super effective attacks.

1 Toravolt - (Evolves from Bittybolt)

The absolute cutey-pie Bittybolt evolves into Toravolt at level 30. While most Electric-types are focused on attacking, Toravolt is a unique exception. With its attack Power Nap to heal HP and the Trait Scrapper to reduce physical damage, it could be quite the unique tank on a team. It has several useful Status attacks as well, and when combined with Toravolt’s Special Attack stat, players can weigh down opponents and then wipe them out with a well-timed blow.
