She was born with Poland Syndrome, which means she was born with missing or abnormal muscles on one side of her chest. The disease affects her right arm as well. To compensate, her mother reached out to UNLV students to design her a 3-D printed robotic hand.

On Monday, she got to put the incredible prosthetic hand to good use.

Did we mention she’s a huge Manny Machado fan? Like most 5 year olds, Dawson was more excited about meeting her hero than throwing out the big pitch.

Oh, yes she did!
