Every match a Superstar has, is a risk, as a freak accident or mishap could cut a Superstar’s career short by years, or even end it permanently. But there are some Superstars, who have fared the odds, and wrestled in more than one match during the very same show.

Whether it’s two matches, three matches, or even more, these Superstars are part of an elite group who went the distance and showed how good they really were.

Here are five WWE Superstars who wrestled multiple times on the same night.

#5 Brock Lesnar (Royal Rumble 2003)

His very sporadic matches nowadays may be an on-going joke with the fans, but there was a time when Brock Lesnar showed off his in-ring ability on a weekly basis.

Never was this proven more so, than when the Beast competed at the 2003 Royal Rumble, opening the show against the Big Show, flattening the 7-footer to qualify for the Rumble match later that night.

Entering at #29, the wounder Lesnar wasted no time in proving himself, eliminating Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas and The Undertaker, to win the iconic match.

Winning in his first appearance was a huge moment for Brock, but was arguably eclipsed months later, when Lesnar main-evented WrestleMania 19 against Kurt Angle, defeating the Olympian to win his second WWE Championship, just one year into his WWE career.

#4 Daniel Bryan (WrestleMania 30)

He may have turned his back on the fans in 2018, but not so long ago, Daniel Bryan was the most beloved Superstar in wrestling.

After being held back by the Authority, Bryan was given the opportunity to main event WrestleMania 30, all he had to do was defeat Triple H in the show’s opener.

With the odds stacked against him, Bryan channelled the YES! Movement to defeat the Game, who attacked the bearded warrior post-match.

Refusing to quit, Bryan made it to the main event, facing Batista and Randy Orton, both of whom had vowed to stop Bryan from leaving New Orleans as champion.

The two Evolution stablemates couldn’t get along though, and despite more interference by The Game, Bryan made Batista tap out, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, in what was a true miracle on Bourbon street.

#3 Seth Rollins (Night of Champions 2015)

When Seth Rollins shockingly turned on his Shield brothers in 2014, it was the start of a whirlwind year for the Architect.

By the end of that year, Rollins was Mr. Money In the Bank, and by Summerslam 2015, was riding high as WWE World Champion and United States Champion.

Unfortunately, there are setbacks to being a double champion, and Rollins found that out first hand, when he was forced to defend both belts in separate matches at Night of Champions.

First facing John Cena for the US Title Rollins had taken from him, The Architect came up short, in a loss that must’ve been on his mind as he entered his second match of the night.

Fortunately, things went better for Rollins in the main event, as he was able to defend his WWE World Championship against the icon of WCW, Sting.

#2 Cesaro (WrestleMania 30/WrestleMania 31)

Daniel Bryan may have left WrestleMania 30 as WWE World Champion, but he wasn’t the only one to pull double duty.

In the pre-show, Cesaro teamed with Jack Swagger, to unsuccessfully challenge The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championships, though the Swiss Superman refused to take this loss lightly.

Later appearing in the inaugural Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale, Cesaro outlasted 30 other opponents, to win the match, last eliminating the Big Show with a slam that’d make Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant quake.

Fast forward just one year later though, and Cesaro once again competed in multiple matches, first retaining the Tag Team Championships against three other teams (including The Usos), and later coming up short in the second Andre Battle Royal, and though he lost, the Swiss Superman proved himself a true workhorse in WWE.

#1 Kurt Angle (King of the Ring 2001)

What’s tougher than wrestling twice in one night? Wrestling three times of course! And what’s tougher than that? Having one of those matches be a Street Fight.

But at the 2001 King of the Ring, Kurt Angle did just that, first meeting Christian in the semi-finals of the titular tournament, where he was assisted by the man he would meet later that night, Shane McMahon.

It was the same Shane McMahon, who ended up costing Kurt in the KOTR finals against Edge, revealing how he had only helped Kurt in the semis, to force the Olympian to exert more energy.

Rightly peeved, Angle waged a war against Shane-O-Mac in their Greenwich street fight, throwing the Prodigal Son through a glass pane, and whilst Shane gave a valiant fight, it was Angle who emerged the victor. Oh, it’s true!
